Hey folks,
I'm working on a dynamic door, that has specific parameters to change its size and orientation. Everything works pretty good, only the arc for the door won't react the way I want it. I was trying several things, but didn't find an satisfying solution.
I attached the file, so you can have a look and see my process so far...
Would be great if you could help me with this issue.
thx guys

Make the Scale (Skalierung) Independant and move the center point (with this Action highlighted to change the Base Type to Independant you will see a Grip show up at the center point of the left jamb) to the end of the Door Leaf near the hinge.
Now try your Arc.
Is this what you are expecting to happen?

Thx Juris,
Your block really did the trick! I didn't know the "lookup" action.
also many thanks to the other guys. You guys are great helping a noob like me!
cheers
hi!
This block with that lookup You can use until You have exact door size.
If You need any size (not register at linear parameter and lookup also) - You need search another solution

Hi,
I always have certain doorsizes so the lookup works great.
Now I tried the lookup on my own with an other door, but it didn't work the way it should. I don't know how to connect the lookup action with the linear parameter. Maybe you can help me again with that one and explane me what I did wrong.
many thanks Juris
hi!
here you can get file: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/401581/_xx.dwg
Your problem is - you try to use 2 lookups but must use "double" lookup - 1 lookup parameter with 2 lookup actions
You can search in forum how to create that, for example http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Dynamic-Blocks/Double-Dynamic-Lookups/m-p/4379234/highlight/true#M1559...
And set BACTIONBARMODE = 0 - it is much easier operate with double lookup
