Dynamic Block Attribute Width

Is there a width parameter for attributes? I would like to make a block so that when I input information in the attribute a line adjacent to the attribute moves (or stretches) in relation to the width of the attribute...
Even if there were some sort of field manipulation that would be acceptable.

Thanks in advance,
Orion

Where is the line in relation to the attribute text? Could you just use
underline?

I have attached a PDF of a typical keynote strip... the Keynote word in Red could be any sort of title such as "General Notes" "Accessibility Notes" "Color Schedule" any variation of widths.. it is the vertical line below the text I want to associate with the text so that as the text grows (down) the line will stretch or move with it

why not mask the "keynote" word and leave the line intact.

The text mask would work great, but it does not update automatically as the word width changes...

you could go with mtext and background mask, the block would have to be
exploded to edit the text.

if exploding is out-of-the-question, you can make a dynamic block that uses
a lookup or visibility states; its easier if there is only a small
collection of words that might go in there.

If you are using Acad 2008 - try this. (multi line attribute)

multi line attributes refuse to cooperate for me.

any kind of rotation or non-standard formatting makes them uncooperative.

maybe its just me.

Why not use vis states instead? You do not seem to have too many varieties of specifications that you wish to list. Make a separate vis state for each type of specification.
