Duplicate objects due to Editing Block

It seems every time I edit the block, all the objects are duplicated.  Does anyone know what is the problem? please see the attached file. thanks

I don't see anything wrong with the block. Except I see the object grips are on.

Can you elaborate your problem?

If this post solves your problem, please mark it as solved. It will help others with a similar problem to find a solution.

Of course this will happen because when you go inside your block by Block Edit Command, you will find that there is a lot of overlap lines.

you have to clean you lines maybe by Overkill Command or by selecting one by one.

Good Luck....

If it's solved your Kudo press button will appreciated 🙂

Welcome to the Autodesk Forums!

You're not the first to have this happen and the reason is not known.

My only thought is that the Block gets caught in an AutoCAD crash and somehow gets corrupted.

I've had this happen to two or thre over the last several years.

You can search the topic in this Forum and find several threads on the subject.

Hi imadhabash,

The overlap and duplication occurs only when you open the block with the edit command. Try to explode the block before using the block editor, you will see there is no overalp and all the lines are single with no duplication. Now open the block with the editor and save it without making any changes, you will see that all the lines are duplicated.

Thanks

This is happening to me with many of my dynamic blocks. They are complicated and it keeps happening and I can't keep recreating them. Someone please help!

I have spent hours just today fixing blocks over and over again!

Thanks,

Following up on your thread, were you able to find a workaround? Did any of the posts in the thread help with the issue?

To add:  could you add a file where you are having this issue with?

Thanks for your time.

I am having this same duplicated objects problem in AutoCAD P&ID with the blocks. It also happens with annotations (block infotags). I would greatly appreciate help. Its so frustrating. I hope some one is this thread has figured it out. 🙂

Thanks,

Marjan

Hi,

would you please describe your issue in a new post and  upload your drawing file ? if you're working with AutoCAD 2018 and later please from SAVE AS command save your drawing as AutoCAD 2013 format type .

Hi,
Thank you for your reply, I am typing a new post for this. Do you want me to attach a drawing with one of those blocks on it that are having issues? I was wondering without having my project folder (project file ...) will you be able to see the problem?
Thanks,
Marjan

Hello,

Did you see my new post? It appeared in AutoCAD Plant 3D forum. Are you still able to answer, or should I post it in a different forum?

Thanks,

Marjan
