Data extraction to a table within drawing

Good Morning All,
I hope that someone can help me with this problem. We build concrete statures and I have dynamic blocks drawn for the various shapes of rebar we use and also the different sizes of rebar. What I want to do is Data Extract the length and size and quantities of bar into a table (which I can do very well), the problem arises when I need to add up all my say #4 bar to get a weight and total length. The problem is that there is no IF function in AutoCAD tables so I have no way of stating in my formal if this is a #4 bar then multiply by XX,#6 bar multiply by xxx. I do not want to have to link to excel spreadsheet because that just brings up other issues ( I do not want my CAD operators to have to do anything other than a data extraction to a table within their drawing, which will already be setup for them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry about that

Sorry too. for some reason the bend blocks come in as anonymous and have no
dynamic properties

I used the parametric constraints on the bent bars. Saving to 2007 apparently will not support this.

I'm not sure any DB properties from 2010 will show up in earlier versions.

I suspect your right Charles.

I did fool around with the idea of calculating the
rebar for all sizes in one table and had success from my point of
view.

Since I didn't have the block for bends I created a
rebar drawing with polyline on layer for each bar size.

I created the extraction as described previously
with a calculation column for each size. Obviously, this give incorrect value
for, but can easily be rectified with a secondary block.

The secondary block would be designed with wipeouts
judiciously placed to only show the corresponding rebar weight per column. The
finished table would be a full matrix with a staircase effect in the quantity
columns.

Hello Mr. Bouza,

I work for a landscape architecture firm. We have blocks with 2 attributes- a plant symbol and a quantity. I use the data extraction command to extract our attributes. On the refine page I click on "combine identical rows" then right click on my column to get the shortcut menu. Once there my "combine records mode is not available (grey) no matter if the "combine identical rows" is checked or not. What am I doing wrong? Several people online have the same problem with no real solutions. All I want is the rows with the same names to be added together to give me a total count for that plant.
