Conditional Visibility Help

Hi I am currently creating many dynamic blocks and I have the need for visibility states.  What I would like appear invisible in one of the two states is a polygon surrounding a text attribute.  I would like this polygon to become invisible when the text attribute inside of it has no value filled in and visible when there is a value to the attribute.  Is this possible? 

I am using Autocad Electrical 2011

can you post a sample block here? describe how it's function?

when an attribute value is nothing (null string value) do you

know how to select it the next time you want to set it?

as far as i know there is no build-in solution to this but with VisualLisp

it can be solved.
