"Stretch" a line into a curve

Hello,

I am using a plugin on Autocad called Sofiplus. It allows me to do Finite Elements analysis based on a drawing on Autocad. The problem is, i have to create a curved element and the plugin only makes straigt lines, even though I know it can work on curves. Is it possible to create a straight line and then "curve" it? Most drawing programs do that, even paint I think.

Thank you and I hope I was clear enough.

draw a line.

select the line.

hover your mouse over the center grip: a menu pops up, one of the choices is to convert to an arc.select it.

experiment.

Draw a PLINE and hover over the center Grip bar to convert to arc.

The center Grip on a LINE is dumb and not a Multi-function Grip.

If you do this to the line in your version of CAD is it possible?

If not then I believe you have your answer.

Though if you do such with the PLINE and then EXPLODE it you will have an Arc or curved Line.

If Sofiplus can process 'curves' then ask Sofiplus how to do so.

If not, you can reform the curve into many short lines, and use them.

An autolisp solution would be the easiest to make:

But you can do it manually if you have the time.
