Just starting to look at designscript studio. I haven't done any programming in DesignScript yet.
To start with I tried following the steps in the Introduction to DesignScript Studio (help>introduction to studio or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jdY5GwTW4wY). The tutorial jumps straight from a point with no values to having values assigned to the xyz coordinates.
How do you do that?
This is the most basic task I can think of but I can't figure out how it's done!
I've tried inserting a value/constant/integer/number/assign but there doesn't seem to be anything in the library to add a value to a coordinate.
I can add a replication guide but I can't work out what that even means yet.
Is there an even more basic tutorial available that actually shows how to do some programming, one click at a time?
Sorry to ask such a simple question. I'm sure the program is very intuitive once you get past the basics.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Watched the introduction tutorial again to see what you mean.
What you need to do is double click in the Graph screen area outside of say a xyz node (blank area) and a code block will appear.
You can add your values there. Also one can go to the screen library and find the same blank codeblock node
under the "Special Node" title.
This should help.
