Unable to open some A1 DWF files

I generated about 50 A1 dwf files in Revit which all appear to be fine, however it seems that the ones with more information can't be opened with Autodesk Design Review 2008. The screen just turns grey and then hangs after getting about 50-80% through loading depending on the file. This very frustrating as I need to open these files so I can print them and I issued these files to a client for them to print and hope they aren't experiencing the same issues.

They were generated using the Print to DWF 2d option in revit rather than the export to dwf option (due to display issues that exporting causes).

Is there a solution to this issue.

My PC isn't slow and has 2GB of RAM so I can't see why this is happening.

Thanks.

What happens if you export them instead of print to DWF? I am not wild about
going through GDI when publishing DWF files. The files get much bigger.

This is a DWF created using the Publish option. There is strange linework showing in the middle of the building and a few other random lines that seem to appear from nowhere?

Its this sort of unreliability as to why I can't use the publish to 2D DWF option.

I also note the publish option file is 326KB whilst the printed option was 100KB. I assume because the publish DWF has embedded information on the elements.

The published file opened quicker also despite being a larger file. Using a print option is just easier as well.
