Newbie question...

Hello: We're experimenting with the DWF Composer (Trial Version) and ADT 2005's markup feature. We'd like the ability to "hide" a markup from view once it's status is set to "done". Is there a way to do this? Thanks in advance, Fred Schreck IT Director KMD Architects San Franicsco

If you can't let me know and our guys may be able to write a little app to do it. -- Rodney McManamy President CADzation ------------------------- rmcmanamy@cadzation.com ------------------------- 518 South Route 31 Suite 200 McHenry, IL 60050 www.cadzation.com Providing Industrial Strength PDF & DWF Solutions to the Global CAD Marketplace. Hi Fred,

Right now we don't have the specific functionality that you asked about. Sounds like you're looking for a way to associate a graphical display with the status, in this case you'd like to hide the remark once it's been tagged as Done. Is that correct? Perhaps you could give a few details on how this would help your process? That would help us understand the issues better.

As part of our overall product roadmap planning, we have been investigating modifying the graphical appearance of the markups, depending on status. We're looking at using color to indicate markup status which can be modified to an individual user's preference. Would something like this be useful?

Thanks.

Doug
I couldn't help but see this and go WHOA. We're using different colored markups for to describe WHO does what.
As in
Green = Design change and
Red = Drafting change

Yes, this would be a nice feature to be able to hide markups when completed (tagged "Done") so that a history could be kept of the changes. As it stands now, we have to keep multiple copies of our DWF's as the design and drafting is done so we can track the history of the changes. Very cumbersome... When the markup is Done and after it has been checked, we delete the markup within the latest DWF sheet set so that the set prints "clean" but we can always go back to a previous saved DWF to view what was done.
