Menu items color

Hi, I just installed DWF Composer. The dropdown menus are a pain: black text over dark blue. The only way to find the menu entry I am looking for is to bring the cursor over each one: then they are readable. Is there a way to change the colors so it is usable ? Thanks Gilles Plante

Gilles, I'm going to put you in touch with one of the Composer developers to help work out the problem. I hope that's ok with you. Gilles,

Did you get a positive resolution for your issues? My understanding was that our developer was able to come up with something. It would be great to be able to report to the group if the issue was indeed dealt with successfully.

Thanks.

Doug, sorry for beeing late to update. In fact, the developper came up with something. For those who join the thread, the problem is that the pulldown menus and toolbars are displayed with a dark background, making it hard to see the menu choices or icons. We don't know why it failed on my own machine, but a change in one of the htm files, the one that defines the menus and toolbar, solved the problem. There remains a problem, a thick border appears around incons in the menus. I guess a change will appear in either a service pack or a future version of DWF Composer. I suggest you contact James Macbeth to learn more. The problem appeared to stem from the use of gradient fills. Attached are the three files that fix everything but the thick borders around the icons that Gilles mentions. By default, the three files to be replaced should be located in your C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Autodesk DWF Composer\EPlot directory. Rename them and copy the new files in. Gilles and I found that for some reason he had to modify the htm files by hand for the changes to work. If you see no change after copying the three files in you may have to do the same, using any simple text editor like notepad. Here's what had to be done to toolbar_exe.htm: Change lines 36, 37, 38, and 39 to the following: .div2 {position:absolute;top:0px;left:0px;width:506px;height:100%;z-index:2} .div3 {position:absolute;top:0px;left:506px;width:132px;height:100%;z-index:2;background-color:#DEE6EF} .div4 {position:absolute;top:0px;left:638px;width:189px;height:100%;z-index:2} .div5 {position:absolute;top:0px;left:827px;width:100%;height:100%;z-index:2;background-color:#DEE6EF} And line 1506 to: That removes the gradient and gives the toolbar groupings (divs) alternate solid background colors. Let me know if you continue to have problems. Jim "Gilles Plante" wrote in message news:40fc24ad_1@newsprd01... Doug, sorry for beeing late to update. In fact, the developper came up with something.
