I cannot second Dean's statement;
Volo View is officially supported on Windows98 and I just managed to
successfully complete an installation on Windows 98 SE. Users have to ensure
that the enclosed system requirements are met and all should be well. One
should note that the there would be no option to install the Inventor
plug-in.
System Requirements
a.. Intel® Pentium® II or AMD-K6® II based PC, 233MHz processor (minimum)
b.. Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional or Home Edition, Windows 2000,
Windows Me, Windows 98 SE, or Windows NT® 4.0 (SP 6)
c.. 128MB RAM (minimum)
d.. 1024x768 video display adapter (recommended)
e.. CD-ROM drive
f.. Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.01 or later (Microsoft Internet Explorer
6.0 or later for viewing Autodesk Inventor files)
Yes, there might be the odd problem with one of the Inventor plug-ins
(current ones are not supported on Win98 nor NT4), however, we are not aware
of any specific problem on Windows98.
