Restarted machine.

Downloaded the 32 bit file this time and it seems to have worked except now it hangs up on initializing with a "The system cannot open the device or file specified"

now what?

Windows 8 is not currently supported.

You might have luck trying something like this:

Does this apply to DWG Trueview 2014?

I am trying to install on a Windows 8 Pro 32bit Dell Latitude Tablet.

When trying to open a drawing is says it's missing a diplay driver (.hdi) in the \drv\ directory.

Thanks,

Brett

It should for 2014 version, but it's not officially listed (or I can't see it):

Can you post a scrneeshot of the exact error?

portt, thanks for posting the screen shot.  I hadn't gotten around to it yet.  That's exactly the same message I'm getting.

Hi,

same Problem here with the Dell Latitude Win 8 Pro.

A display driver file .hdi is missing or has been corrupted when i want to open a file.

Someone can help?

After a while i resolved the Problem with Win 8 Dell Latitude and TrueView 2014.

1. Open "Regedit"

2. search for "CustomHeidiDriverPath"

they are two of them in the Registry. Delete both on the right side.

And it works fine 🙂

I just want to double check:

  • The advice is to use Registry Editor to delete a couple of files from my registry
  • This advice comes from a user with only two posts
  • The user's name is "fakerr"

Just checking...

Good Morning,

it worked fine for me. Sorry for my Nick but i'm using it allmost everywhere 🙂

If you worry about. Just Save the Registry before.

I have a Windows Surface 2 tablet that has all the reqirements to run Trueview 2014. I download 32bit which is whats required and i save it but i get the message that it is not able to run on this pc. I also looked into the Regedit and could not find this "customheididriverpath" Am i missing something with this tablet that im not aware of. All I want to do is run trueview 2014.
