Sharing DWG files using TrueView 2010

Our engineers have DWG TrueView 2010 installed so as to view AutoCAD files created by the CAD staff. However if they have the file open in TrueView the CAD staff cannot then open the file for editing. This poses a problem when the engineers leave file open and leave the office and their PC locks in screen saver mode.

Is there a setting somewhere where the engineers can only open the file in read-only mode thus allowing CAD staff to edit file if it is being used by engineers.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Regards
Graeme

Set the NTFS file permissions so that the "engineer" group only has READ
access.
