Installing DWG 2014 fails caus Internet explorer 7 is missing (he said)

Hello,

I've tried to install DWG True View 2014. He exited with an error saying Internet Explorer 7 SP1 or later is missing. So he is wrong. Internet Explorer 9 is installed. I getting this error also on Windows 8 Clients with IE10 installed.

Any Ideas`?

mfg Andreas

Is IE9 your default browser? most installations look at the default browser, they don't hunt for exact programs.

Hello,

IE9 & 10 are the only browsers installed. So no other default browser defined...

Tried sooooooooo many times to load this but keep getting internet connection failed? Don't understand this has I've done this wired not wireless. I've tried on numerous machines and the same error comes up.

I need to get this sorted as I need to roll this out onto numerous machines. I'm not IT specialised only a CAD technician, my company IT haven't a clue about CAD. So any help will be much appreciated.

Since you have hijacked this thread and decided to go completely off topic with your question (this is not even the same software or the same problem) do this, it sounds crazy I know but you asked.
Go to http://ww.autodesk.com/dwgtrueview and install that program.
Restart Windows
Now download and install Design Review. bet it will work just fine.

Hello,

it seems not every Client in my environment has this problem. Installed it on another 10. Only 1 shown up with the error. The other are working fine.

That is unusual: find out indepth what makes that PC unique, start by finding out which IE is the system default.

Didnt mean to hijack this thread but this came up on the DWG viewers search. Just needed some help from the experts out there. Will try your solution.

Thanx

DTV (the topic at hand and this forum) is a DWG viewer.
Your chosen software, ADR, is a DWF viewer: it does not view DWG files.

Which is it you want to view? DWF is not DWG, DWG is not DWF.

Hello,

IE9 is installed on the most of the Clients. And Its the only browser so it should be dafault

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\http\shell\open\command says IE. It will monitor the problem. I have a DWG 2013 software packet in the back...

Greetings
