Installation failure

I have a mini laptop for going to meetings. I don't want to install AutoCAD because it would be TOOOO slooooow on the mini. I would like to install DWG TrueView to be able to view drawings, however. The DWG TrueView installer always returns "You must first install Microsoft.NET Framework version 3.1 SP1 or greater before installing the product." I DID install Framework 3.5 and I still get this message. The mini has XP home edition. (At least it's not Vista!) Does anyone have a fix?

Licensing and other issues aside, I'm not sure you are going to gain much by
choosing Trueview over AutoCAD. Trueview is built on AutoCAD OEM and
virtually all of the overhead of AutoCAD is there, just like with full
AutoCAD.

Sorry, I don't have an answer for your main question. Is this DWG Trueview
2010 BTW?

Thanks for the reply. Yes, DWG TrueView 2010. And I really don't want AutoCAD because my own personal license is for ADT 3 and is not upgradable and the office runs later versions. The office is being responsible about number of seats.

I repaired the installation to microsoft.net Framework & still DWG TrueView didn't install. By accident I stumbled on Solidworks eDrawings Viewer, which not only installed, but works like a charm to be able to view AutoCAD files on my go-to-meetings computer.

For AutoDesk's information, DWG TrueView crashes (on my work computer) when I try to cancel the OPEN command when there's no good file to open. Installing it on my home computer corrupted AutoCAD which I had to reinstall. I hope the product gets better.

Hopefully, Autodesk will learn something from your experience
and we will all benefit in the end. They used to have a small reliable
viewer (VoloView), but decided to kill this off in favor of Trueview.
