Display Background Color-VVE On Buzzsaw.Com

We are new to Volo View and need some help with the settings. We are using
Volo View Express (build 171) to view dwf project files on a Buzzsaw.Com
project site. Our corporate drawing colors are based on a black display
background in AutoCAD. When we export to a dwf file and view on the Buzzsaw
project site, we can't clearly see colors such as yellow.

I have successfully changed the display background to black in Volo View
Express loaded on my hard drive, but it doesn't affect the settings on the
Buzzsaw project site when I view a dwf file. I have contacted tech support
at Buzzsaw and they could not solve the problem and said it was an Autodesk
issue.

What we need is to change the display background color of the dwf viewer
(Volo View Express) being invoked by the Buzzsaw project site. Since we had
to download Volo View Express to our hard drive, I thought it would use the
local hard drive version on each machine, but it doesn't appear to be doing
this.

Thanks in advance for any help to correct this. If this is an Autodesk
problem, Autodesk please fix it ASAP. This is really a problem for us and
for our client trying to use the project site.

One way to do this when you cannot control the way a website appears is to
run the VVE application in the background before you load your project site.
Change the default background for VVE in the application to black. The
internet portion will follow the lead of the application as long as it is
running in the background.
Hope this helps.

Really from my experience the issue is with the ActiveX control.
I have been in the process of creating a web page with the Active X
control, in Front Page and am working on this problem as well. When the DWF is
run in a relatively small frame ... there it is a white background. When DWF is
run full screen ... it comes up with the black background, as it should be.
So... what I will probably do is use the htm pointer on the "info" page to link
to the DWF that is placed in a full screen sized frame. This means putting up
with it until the ActiveX control is rewritten to work right. This is the case
in both IE 5.5 and Netscape 4.7 where full screen works fine.
Another answer may be to get the user to download the DWF to their hard
drive and drag the file into a running browser window where it opens full
screen automatically. (with appropriate instructions to the user) . This is not
fun but it works. Maybe until an intuitive fix comes up, annotating the drawing
to be viewed in this manner will allow clients to see it the way intended
(black background). Of course pointing them to where to pick up the ActiveX
plugin is a must on the page as well.
The latest build of VV may have the bug but the older VV express does not
have the "white background" problem.
So it goes.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, it did not change the display
color on the Buzzsaw project site. I have tried your suggestion with (a) VVE
actually running in the background, and (b) with VVE minimized with the same
end results: VVE running on my hard drive has a black background, but the
Buzzsaw project site displays a white background.

If there are no other solutions, hopefully Autodesk will correct this.
