I was sent a file that had been converted from an AutoCAD/Civil 3D 2010 or 2011 file to an AutoCAD 2007 file format. I'm using AutoCAD LT 2006, so I tried to convert the file using the TrueView 2011 application, converting to a 2004 format, but it does not appear that the file is being converted.
When I open the file in Notepad, the first word is always "AC1021" (indicating that the file is a 2007-2009 format) it never changes. I really want it to read "AC1018" (indicating that the file is a 2004-2006 format). I've tried every permutation in the DWG TruView - DWG Converter that I can click. I even tried a 2000 file format (AC1015), no change.
Any idea, suggestions, or help is much appreciated! Thank you.
