Publish to web

Excuse me if I am in the wrong gruop and kindly point me in the direction of the correct one.

I followed the publish to web wizard and is successfully created in a folder that I made up specificly for this purpose. It then asks if I would like to send an email with a "hyperlinked URL" to this location. I say yes and then when outlook comes up, it says it has blocked the attachment because it may be hazardous. I think I understand that this page I have created is not a bonified web page, my company does have one, but do I need to have them linked some how to get passed the outlook blockage? I know nothing about this stuff, be kind in your reply.

TIA

Unless you used PUBLISHTOWEB to output directly to a website that is
accessible through the Internet (or Office Intranet), what you asked it to
do (send an Email with a link) would be a waste of time unless you are on a
PC that is open to the world to browse on.

Consult your Network Administrator about getting beyond the Outlook message:
the block is probably there through the Server or Anti-Virus settings.

The block is part of a number of microsoft patches. It blocks all
attachemnts, no matter what the file extension.

In Outlook Express, go to tools/options/security and uncheck the box that
says "do not allow attatchments to be opened that could potentially be a
virus"

According to Microsoft information, ZIP or other archive extensions are not
block, because they can do no damage until they are opened or executed.
