    Print Scaling on 11x17 pages

My mapping group recently moved to ACAD 2002/Map 5 in XP. We chose to wait until this month to upgrade the DWF viewer from good ol' Whip4 to Express Viewer plugged into Internet Explorer (we're using EV ver. 3.1). Due to downstream data constraints, I am required to continue to use the legacy DWFOUT function to generate our DWF files.

The output DWF files appear to work perfectly in Express Viewer, and print as the did using Whip4 when I test them from my PC. However, they print with 2 to 3 inch margins all around from any PC that has a 17" or smaller monitor (mine's a 20"). I'm using "Current View" and "Fit to Paper Size" settings (I've tried all combinations of settings). If, however, I scale the IE window to the proportions of the map image, the print comes out looking OK, with nominal margins. I'm not kidding.

The Autodesk helpline and our CAD vendor do not have a clue as to a fix. Has anyone had a similar print scaling problem?

My main body of users numbers over 1,000, my drawing library consists of +/- 150,000 maps, and our Intranet site gets about 20,000 hits a month to view these DWF files. So I'm starting to take heat for my users and my IT guys. Any suggestions would be deeply appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Michael

    Are you
printing from the AEV menu or the IE menu?

We use the AEV menu...IE's print utility doesn't yield adequate or consistent results. When I say the EV menu, I mean the right-click context menu -> Print.

    Michael,

Is your site external, if so can you give me an
address so that I can take a look at the site and DWF files.  This sounds
like a very weird issue that I would like to see if I can duplicate from my
    machine.

    Thanks,

    Tony
