Not exactly true... with XP, once the thumbnails have been generated, MS
caches them into a db file assuming under Folder Options>View the checkbox
for caching the thumbnails is unchecked.
If Edward has this checked, he should uncheck it. If he already has it
unchecked, then his db file size is probably outrageous and its the parsing
of it that is bogging him down.

Thanks that helped out some what.
It still drains my computer every time I open the folder; but not as much as
before.

Depends on the shell extension implementation.
