The ctb file is a color table file. It takes the colors in a DWG file and
remaps them to various line widths and patterns in black and white plotted
output. For example, blue becomes wide dashed. Red becomes dotted. As a DWF
file is an electronic plot, the ctb file was already used by AutoCAD when
the DWF file was created. You should print the DWF file as is. The ctb file
has no further relationship to the DWF.

I received from an offshore architect a set of DWF files that are to be
printed for a local client. Included with the DWF files is a ctb file which
we have been asked to use to ensure the plot is rendered correctly. We are
not a CAD user ourselves and have not had ctb files provided in the past.
We use the DWF viewer as the print app, and from what I can gather the ctb
file is not used at all in this situation.
Does the ctb file have any relevance to our use of the DWF viewer, and if it
has, how does it get accessed during the printing process?
Many thanks,
