Printing on A3 Paper

I posted a question a while back about printing a file at 50% on A3 paper.
I have another piece relating to that puzzle.
I have a file created for A1 paper. I am setting it up to send to an
HP1055CM large format printer. I select A3 paper and 50% reduction. I
click "Show tiles in page view" to see if it fits...it shows that it does.
I click print again to send the job, but notice that my paper is ANSI B now.
If I select ANY other page size with 50% and follow the same steps, the page
size remains. Not any of the A3 sizes remain. Oversize, ISO, none.
Has anyone had this happen?

I've also run into this problem. We use a lot of A1 scaled to A3. Problem is
that if printed to 50% it's not really 50% since it plots to fit within the
plottable area. If we plot A1 in 1:1 we would like to plot A3 in 1:2
exactly. 😞

I saw somewhere that this is a recognized problem which is being looked at
and hopefully will be remedied soon. This would be a superb feature if it
worked properly. Before DWF we used to make .plt files for both A1 and A3.
When this is fixed it'll be soo fast. Make one multi-sheet DWF and send it
100% to A1 and 50% to A3...perfect.

Agree!

As long as this is not fixed we will have a hard time to start using DWF's
for real useage.
