Windows XP SP2 security alert displays when viewing DWF files embedded in
web pages. How do I fix this?
In Windows XP SP2, the following security alert is displayed each time you
view an embedded DWF file using Autodesk DWF Viewer or Autodesk DWF
Composer:
To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted this file
from showing active content that could access your computer. Click here for
options.
For English, Japanese, and German versions of Autodesk DWF Viewer 5, please
download and install the latest build (521).
For earlier versions of the Autodesk DWF Viewer, please upgrade your viewer
to Autodesk DWF Viewer 5 build 521.
Note: With this new version of Autodesk DWF Viewer 5, the Windows XP SP2
security alert will continue to appear when viewing DWFs embedded in local
HTML pages. You can suppress this message by adding the following HTML tag
as the first line of any local HTML page that hosts DWF files:
wrote in message news:4894694@discussion.autodesk.com...
I receive the error "This page has an unspecified potential security flaw.
Would you like to continue?" every time a DWF is opened, at every
right-click, and at every menu click. Also, it very annoyingly does not
remember that "yes" was clicked, AND it shows the error for each sub-menu
within dropdown's. Any ideas on this one? I have set IE security as low as
it will go, and added Autodesk to the trusted sites. Beyond that, I have no
clue where to go.
