DWG files

Is there any way to view dwg files with the free viewer software? Any other options? What about using Quickcad to open the files

For DWG's you can use the free Volo View Express.
Express Viewer is only for DWF.

Take
a look at the trial version of SmartPurger (now for AutoCAD 2004) or download
some freeware at www.jtbworld.com

AEV only views DWFs.  I'm not personally
familiar with Quickcad, sorry.  Perhaps other listeners can chime
in.

Volo View Express can view DWG files. It is a
larger download. The Autodesk Express Viewer views only DWF. It takes a lot less
code to read a DWF than a DWG, so the download size is way smaller. The down
side is that you have to generate DWFs from DWGs and keep them in sync. There
are tools that help with this. Another advantage is that DWFs are not editable
as easily as DWGs are.

Or do an Internet search for even smaller, but still free, DWG viewers.
