Our office computers do not have autocad installed. We are thikning of installing DWF VIEWER. Will this help us in viewing and printing DWG files or do we have to receive files saved with DWF extension?
DWF viewer will not display DWG files, only DWF. If you need to view DWG
files, you can use VoloView Express which may be on your Autocad CD. There
is also a very versatile file viewer that can read DWG files up to Ver. 2002
(possibly 2004 now) called Oasis. You can download it from the following

DWF Viewer is only to view DWF files: hence the name.
For DWG and DXF viewing, as well as DWF, Autodesk offers Volo View 3 for
US$99.00 per seat from http://www.autodesk.com/estore. There are other third
party vendors that have viewers too, none that are useful are free.

Explore Volo View or the new DWF Composer from Autodesk, or third party DWG
and DWF viewers from other vendors. Any Internet search engine can get you a
list (very little is free though).
