ADR 2011 freezes

In ADR 2011 if I do a walkthrough using the walk function within the steering wheel my session will freeze after my computer will run out of available memory. In ADR 2010 the problem does not happen on the same exact dwf file. ADR 2010 stays right around ~250M for memory usage. ADR 2011 starts at ~250MB and climbs from there. So if I pan the memory usage will climb to 260MB, then if I zoom it will go to 270MB and so on.

Definately a bit of a bug. The only way that I have found to reset the memory usage is minimize then maximize the application. I don't really want to go to my senior level staff and let them know to monitor task manager and tell them to minimize/maximize ADR when it gets above 500MB...

File specs:
3D dwf from revit 2009, architectural model only
File size is 3.4MB

Computer specs:
Win XPx86 SP3
3Gb RAM
Nvidia NVS 160M

Thank you for reporting this issue.

I have logged a defect in Autodesk database for this issue.

I also find that you can hide the 'ViewCube' to forbid this issue. You can follow these steps to hide 'ViewCube'.
1. Open 'Options' dialog.
2. Switch to 'ViewCube' tab.
3. Uncheck the option 'Show the ViewCube'.

Please let me know if this can be of help.

Tank,

The suggestion kind of helps a little bit. The memory usage still climbs, but not as fast when the view cube is turned on. As for turning off the view cube for our users, they have gotten so used to the cube that disabling it will only cripple them.

Thank you for submitting the problem and looking at a resolution for us.
