A Feature that would be very beneficial.

I understand the process to generate Multi-Sheet DWF

files. However i have a situation where I alread have

multiple DWF files that are separate. The reason is we

have a lot of Autocad files that were generated when

Layout space was only Paper Space so we have a lot

of Titleblock and Boarders on one Layout now. We generate

DWF files for each of these that make up 1 drawings set.

Is there a way now or plans to have the new Viewer

bring all of the individual DWF files together and

combine them in to 1 Multi-Sheet DWG file?

Is this even possible ?

Sorry about the refference to DWG file at the end of the

above post. I meant bring multiple DWF files into

1 Multi Sheet DWF file.

The express viewer won't ever be doing this, it's a
read-only viewer.

However, you can download the DWF 6 toolkit and
check out the MergeDwf sample app.  That should do exactly what you
want.  (Assuming you have VC6 or VC7 available.)

Jeffrey,

This request is a little different from the subject of this thread... would
it be possible to have a "Mergedwf" function like Whip! has?

This is simply overlaying one dwf over another. I know EV is read only; it
wouldn't be necessary to save the dwf after the merge. It would be for
displaying only.

We are working on a program that will do this for
you and could also convert the entire drive for you if the dwf files follow some
naming convention like drawing-layout.  If you want to email me over 5mb or
less of dwf files at
href="mailto:support@cadzation.com">support@cadzation.com
and I'll test them
while we are finishing it up.  I can use some more DWF files to test
anyways.

It's certainly possible (hey, it's only code afterall), but likely outside
the scope of the next release. In a special case scenario like this, we
would have to disable all outbound hardcopy (printing and copy-to-clipboard)
because if not, it could be possible for somebody to print something that
wasn't the "official DWF". We wouldn't want some contractor to build
something that wasn't the approved design.

Leaving the printing as it is shouldn't be a problem; it was fine in Whip!.
Because the Mergedwf is for programming (API) it would be up to the
developer to turn off the printing if he thinks it is necessary.
