I am a Project Director. I am currently researching solutions for a Division-wide Project Management tool. I found 'Constructware' and was excited until I found that it uses 'off site' storage through buzzsaw.
The only thing I need it do that it doesn't (at least that I can find) yet is not go to the public internet for storage. Does anyone know if it is possible to reqrok the mapping functions for the software and direct the program down a path to a specific server instead of a specific website? If we had a copy of buzzsaw in place on a stand-alone network server, could we then use constructware on our stand along network?
Here is what I need:
Network-wide PM Solution
~ interfaces with current AutoCAD drawings
~ provides management functions from different viewpoints (financial, project, labor, sub-contractor support, etc.)
~ will function on a stand-alone network with no outside connectivity.
Please let me know if any of you knows of anything that fits this bill...
