Issue: External User cannot view Supporting link document
Why: External User may have the Company Only Permission or Supporting Document Viewable by: Only Internal Users
Solution: Send the supporting document to end user via Send Wizard. Ensure the supporting document is configured for all Users in the Document Module.
All documents uploaded to Constructware are placed in the Document Module. Document Module is a holding tank for all files uploaded. If a member has the permission of Company Only, the files the user sees in his Document Module will only be the documents the users company has uploaded and / or documents that have been to sent to user via the Send Wizard of Constructware. Company Only permission is great and powerful. Just remember if you need a user to see a supporting document the document must first be sent to end user.
Also, Files uploaded to the Document Module can be configured for only Internal Users. This helps protect outside companies from seeing your internal company documents. Documents configured as Internal Only will not be seen from External Users.
