Mudbox 2015 Not Responding to Inputs

Hello all,

I just built a new computer, and when I try to use Mudbox on it, the software doesn't respond to most inputs. I can interact with menus, but cannot sculpt or paint. Oddly, I cannot press the 'X' button on the corner to close the window either.

I saw in some other threads that video drivers could cause problems, so I tried reverting to driver version 327.23 (nVidia Geforce 760). This allows me to paint color on my models... but doesn't fix anything else. Can anyone offer a solution (maybe a driver which does work...)?

thanks in advance!

What input device are you using? A Wacom tablet? Or something else? Have you tried clicking with the mouse just to see if that works? It's odd that this would be related to the video driver. I'd have thought it would be the input device driver.

It's an unusual problem.

Exit Mudbox.

Remove C:\Users\[your_login]\Documents\Mudbox\2015-x64 and try again.

I would try what was suggested.

Also, try different switches on your video card settings related mostly to 3D graphics.

Turn off "Enable Overlay"

Antialiasing- Transparency -off

Also, does this happen to other software?

Perhaps something with the Bios settings needs to be tweaked?, especially since they are not factory set.

Perhaps, check "hyperthreading" and other processor type settings.

Somehow, Mudbox is now working perfectly... This is both delightful and extremely frustrating!

I spent about 3 hours trying to make it work on Friday, trying everything I could think of... so I'm not sure what is different now, but I'm glad it's working just the same. Thanks to both RobinBall and 3dMastermind for your suggestions--I'd try them right away if MB was still acting up.

For future reference if it helps anyone with troubleshooting, I was/am using a Cintiq 13HD for input. When the issue was present, nether the stylus nor the mouse would work properly. All other software (Maya, Photoshop, Zbrush, etc) were working perfectly.
