Dear all,
I am a third year architecture student and am planning to buy a new laptop. I basically need a machine for using 3dsMax & Revit seamlessly. Would really appreciate if someone could help me with the choice (budget $1000 - $1300). I have chosen an HP Envy, could anyone guide me about it's suitability? The specs are:
Product Name HP 15-j101ex
Microprocessor Intel Core i7-4702MQ with Intel HD Graphics 4600 (2.2 GHz, 6 MB cache, 4 cores)
Chipset Intel HM87 Express
Memory 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3L SDRAM (2 x 8 GB)
Video Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M (4 GB DDR3 dedicated)
Hard Drive 1.5 TB 5400 rpm SATA
Display 39.6 cm (15.6”) diagonal FHD BrightView LED-backlit (1920 x 1080)
Although Autodesk site recommends Nvidia Quadro graphic cards but the prices on those babies are way too steep and while going through the forum I am given to understand that GeForce series graphic cards work fine too. I figured I'll just seek community advice on my choice.
Many thanks!
Abha
