Position available for a Compenent Designer/Draftsperson

Shelter Products, Inc. is one of the largest multi-family construction suppliers in the U.S. with over $195 million in sales annually. We are currently looking for a Designer to be a part of our Engineered Wood Products group.

The Designer will assist in managing EWP projects by being responsible for the drafting, design and estimating of construction projects. This will include project management coordination, AutoCAD drafting, structural engineering design and estimating EWP multi-family/commercial projects.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• AutoCAD Drafting, preferably with version 2010 or newer

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in electronic plan reading and estimating, preferably with multi-family or commercial projects
• Metal-plated floor and roof truss design software: TJ Beam, Keybeam or other EWP manufacturer’s software
• A self-starter with goal orientation and strong ability for accuracy and detail
• Construction/framing experience
