Red Car, a busy post production house in SoHo NYC, is looking for a full time Flame assistant. To be considered for the entry level position, the ideal candidate will fulfill the below listed qualifications.
-Excellent understanding of Autodesk Flame and its workflow
-Comprehensive knowledge of various file types, including the varied compressions and codecs, as well as file types compatible with Flame
-Familiarity with machine room standards (tape decks like D5, Digibeta, and patch bays for reference/monitoring)
-Ability to support lead Flame artist in contacting Autodesk for Flame technical support
-Understanding of Linux-based Flame
-Willingness to maintain ongoing archive in an organized and universal fashion
-Fast learner, willingness to expand Flame knowledge
-Familiarity with Adobe suite (AE, AI, PS)
-Knowledge of fiel transfer protocol
-Both Mac and PC literate
-Detail oriented
-Organized/File management
-Works well with clients in the room
-Overall understanding of post production/VFX workflow
-Good at multitasking
A plus would be a background in other areas of post (offline, audio, transfer).
