Flow Tools is an interesting program for
flow charts & I think might be useful
for your application (not sure). You can
design blocks that link together with
relationships & create BOM's. We've used
it for entirely different purposes
before.

I would look into VIA controls at http://www.viadevelopment.com
They make some very well intergrated software.  Cost is pretty reasonable,
around $800 for a seat, more if you really want a highly intergarated system,
less if you need a base package.

I am curious...

Rather than using an add on for Autcad..... what abt
getting another app just for 2D drawings such as
Actrix?

Which was recently acquired by
Solidworks....

The program works very good and has minimal
problems.

We are a Drives Control manufacturer and use this
extensively

(well as long as we have some sales, bit slow
nowadays)

Actrix is a dead product. Autodesk is no longer developing it although
they will implement some of it's technology into other products.
