I want to edit dwg files in sharepoint portal services, but I couldn't do it. Could somebody help me about this situation?

SharePoint cannot be used to edit CAD files. SharePoint in a manner of
speaking is simply a file repository. Can you view a CAD file in SharePoint
or do you simply have a URL or some other text that describes the CAD file?

Does the SharePoint system allow downloads of the data?

If that's possible, download the file necessary to be edited, make the
changes, upload the file once more - noting your revisions of course.

Yes, you can: Microsoft posts a bunch of free templates on
the Sharepoint website you can download and explore within
your company to see if it will work for your needs.

Some nice project/team management templates too.

Thanks for the fill-in Dean - I've not had opportunity to utilize that
"tool" as of yet.
