nView Manager alternative?

Sorry, there isn't a forum really designated for hardware.

I've got 2 - 27in monitors and a higher end nvidia card in my laptop. I'm looking for something similar to the nview manager where you can edit gridlines to create different views for each monitor. The thing the nview manager doesn't do is create views across multiple monitors. You can only maximize a window to a view within an individual monitor.

Ideally, I'd like to have my cad on one full monitor and about a 1/3 of the second, leaving the remaining 2/3 for email or spreadsheets etc.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks.

You can accomplish this with Windows 8.

I usually do it by eye. I can't get it to snap to the grid either. You could grid your second monitor 2:1, maximize a window to the larger left hand grid an use that as a guide. I tried getting AutoCAD to snap to that window but that didn't work either.
