I have worked in the mechanical side of things for my entire career. The
company I work for sells to the building industry. We are going to start
adding some cad files to our web site. Not all will have text but the ones
that will what is the best font to use. I have always used simplex or
romans but have always stayed with the shx fonts. They have alot of files
here with true shape fonts and I am wondering if this will cause any type of
problems.

My company uses the Lucida Sans True Type font.
It is hell to work with, I have always favoured Romans, the good old fashion
way!!
Basically I find True Types are a nightmare to manipulate, moving with grips
is slow and "blocky".
This is just my personal view, but if the information contained on your
drawings really needs to be glossed with a shiny True Type go-ahead, but it
is a hassle!!
I would be very interested to hear other peoples views on this topic!!!
