Does anyone use Virtual Machines to support multiple versions of AutoCAD?
How does it work for you?
Does AutoCAD work well in this environment?
What do you mean by "multiple versions"? Revit & C3d? LT & Archeticture? or multiple sessions?
I would tend to believe he meant running 2010, 2009, 2008 & 2007 on the same machine. I don't think you can install more than one version on the same computer.
I use VMs to test out new versions in an isolated setting, which works fine, but VMs (at least where I work) are pretty s-l-o-w. I suppose you could use them for multiple versions.
Anybody else you them?
Scott
I really don't think this would be necessary. I have installed numerous versions on the same machine for years with no problems. I don't know that it matters but I always installed the oldest versions first. The only exception I'm aware of, Autodesk warns that pre-release builds should not be installed on machines with other versions.
