Sheet Viewport Layer

OK.....when dragging a view onto a sheet using sheet set manager, the viewport AND the view identifier go onto the current layer. I GUESS that's OK. BUT if I make the VPORTS layer current (which is set to noplot) and the users do not move the identifier it will not plot..........the question is.....can you force the viewport to is layer and the view identifier to its layer automatically???? I cant find any thing!

TIA,
GoBrowns

The way that I handled it was to use a LISP program to set layer curent, do
a step of the process, set a layer current and then do whet else i need and
then set the layer that was current before all this back to current
