Salary research

Does anyone know of a good place to find salary information on the web? I'm
doing some preliminary research for my next review and would like to have
some numbers to walk in with. I'm looking to find out how I'm doing in
reference to my location, industry, and job responsibility level (Seattle,
environmental consulting, 30+ person support and management).

Any suggestions as to other considerations I should take into account would
be helpful as well. Thanks.

I agree, www.salary.com is where I went when I applied for this job. They
didn't have an exact match for my job, but I got close and averaged it out.
It's a great tool.

I'm scared to even look at what I should be making. Actually I know, but
the boss doesn't see it that way, the place I work is a great place and
moral is good, stress is low for me and my boss is a nice person to work for
so that makes up for the lower salary, not too mention, I don't have the
construction knowledge to do "real" architectural drafting.

So far I've found out I'm 10-20% below median for a drafting tech, even
though I handle all aspects of CAD management. The "Job Description" that
went with the reviews showed I was beyond in almost every part of the
description- all my own scheduling, maintanence, support, infrastructure,
management, etc. Unfortunately I've yet to see a report for a CAD Manager's
salary- so I can only go off the generic drafter's level. Even more
depressing, I'm still low on that scale.
