Multi Core Processing and 2014 performance?

This support article

http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=15224826&linkID=9240617

says that "AutoCAD only supports multi-core technology in a couple of very specific areas of the product, including: 2D regeneration, MentalRay rendering". The article applies from AutoCAD 2010 to 2013.

Does it means that something changed at the 2014 version? Or the article reference was not updated yet?

Another simple question that I have not found an answer yet

Using the same hardware and OS version (ex: W7 64 bits), the AutoCAD 2014 performance is just like the same that 2013 version?

2014 is very similar to 2013, and there have been no changes to the ability of Acad to take advantage of multiple processors.  What 2013 could support, 2014 supports, and nothing more.

Performance is a somewhat different issue -- improvements were made, but whether you will see them depends on so many cofiguration variables that it's impossible to predict.  The same tweaks that were used to speed up 2013 aply to 2014.

There's also the question of 'real' performance vs 'perceived' performance.  While number crunching speed is one thing, the improvements in predictive UI could help you get things done faster, e.g. the enhanced command line and it's predictions about what you want to accomplish.
