Managing Sheets

Were trying to come up with some guidlines for our users here as how to use
"Sheets" in ADT and ABS.... and i was curious what any of yo uhave set as
guidlines taking a few things into consideration.

1: When deleting a sheet it leaves the actual .dwg file unless the user goes
to the explorer view to delete it.
2: When a user creates a sheet for the first time it also creates the .dwg
file name as well. However if a user ever renames or renumbers a sheet it
does nothing to the .dwg file. So if i have "A1.1 Floor Plan" and i rename
it to A1.2 Floor Plan" the .dwg file is still A1.1, and if i ever need to
email it to someone then there is an inconsistancy there in the name. Plain
coordination wise it can become a nightmare with hundreds of sheets.

With that being sais i almost think that a user should never be able to
rename or renumber a sheet and always have to remake the sheet from scratch,
because we all know theres no way that there also going to go to the
explorer tab and rename it there as well. agree....disagree

Im really curious on what everyone thinks the rules for sheets should be.
thanks to all of you i have learned so much in these newsgroups.

John,

In 2006 the ability to rename the title (and renumber) and have this change
the file name is now an option. See the following post as an example:
