Image export in a script or lsp

I am flipping a lot of drawings and i have a long process, I have gotten down to export my image(raster) and then i need it to continue into more commands. So does anyone know how to write either a script or lsp to
iexport hold for image to be selected, named and then finish the command and then move onto a new command.
I am running a script because i needed to use the laydel command, but now i cant figure out how to complete the script. I have tried \ and \\ and many other pause options i could think of......any ideas?
