Hardware Lock

I still have a couple of acad 2000 machines in use but I arrived this
morning to find that one of the machines has a hardware lock error it has
the same dongle it always had and has worked fine uptil now, does a dongle
have a limited lifespan? Please help.

Hardware locks do occasionally go down - I had one customer with 16 seats of ACAD/M with 8 dongles not working one morning Eeeck!
You can get a replacement hardware lock but you will have to go through your reseller as there is a bit of paperwork to do and you
have to send the old one back before the new one is despatched (from Neuchatel in Switzerland)

If you have a friendly reseller, he might be able to loan you a dongle during the time lag, but that will require some contractual
paperwork as well.
