DGN Converter

I have a .DGN drawing that I need to get converted quickly to a .dwg. Is
there a converter out there and if yes where? I am on ACAD 2005 and on
subscription.

Yeah, I know Dean. We bought into the civil 3d and have not had time for
training, so it is still on shelf. Have played with it enough to realize we
need some training. We are using it some, but very limited.

To paraphrase an oft-quoted remark re. C3D Larry...

"It ain't Land Desktop any more!"

So don't be surprised if the folks with the least experience with LDT at
your firm pick up C3D's ins-and-outs fairly quickly.

Most users and those in the "training" side of things over on the C3D DG,
have expressed that they/their "pupils" determine to have amnesia re. LDT
while learning C3D.

Don,

Well it ought to be real easy for us then, because we are making the switch
from Eagle Point. It is really a different animal altogether!

So you've been paying Autodesk two-years in a row to stay where you are? Interesting, do you run other areas of your business like that too? Who else are you paying to do nothing but take your money LOL

I didn't use it from within autocad (never heard that you could before this
thread)... mine is found under...

START > All Programs > Autodesk > DWG TrueConvert

if all you've got is the msi, either you haven't installed it, or you're
looking in the wrong location on your hard drive...

mine was installed in the following path....

C:\Program Files\Autodesk\DWG TrueConvert 2007

there is a file DwgCvt.hlp that might be of assistance with any questions
about the operations of this application.

Don't know where you got that but the Autodesk Labs website
http://labs.autodesk.com/ is where to find it.
The zip file is called "DGNV8.zip" and it contains two files "DGNV8Beta.exe"
and "Readme_DGNV8_Beta.html"

The two commands added are DGNIMPORT and DGNEXPORT .
