Bentley One-ups Autodesk

Check out what Bentley is doing with Google Earth.

Autodesk products prevent customers from using web
technology. Other vendors who may have been thinking they have nothing to
lose are beginning to show customers what they are missing. What is the
Autodesk response? Upgrade to 2007 because now you can actually print to
pdf! Whoopee.

unless you use both software I would not comment, the google earth tool is
pretty cool as for price, lets not go there,

Apparently you haven't a clue what the word propaganda means. I've never
claimed the data was false, I hav claimed the data is horribly skewed with a
painfully obvious bias. Hence the term propganda, something the bentley
boys have done much better than the AutoDesk gang.

Oh I haven't bought it, I'd rather buy $4000 worth of lotto tickets.
However, my current client does business with an orgnization that got in bed
with MSTA many years ago (kicking themselves now), so we are forced to use
the heavy-handed over-priced Piece O' Crud.

And yes, heavy-handed.

Well then I am free to comment, I use both, and have for over a decade.

Read the fine print.
But hey, that's just me.

the largest projects in the world are done with the "other software"

See there's that propaganda again. The largest projects in the world are also done with AutoCAD, CALMA, and others, but the Bentley boys put a spin on it that makes it look like those projects are done with MSTA "only". Which is hardly the case, yet their propaganda has you believing it is. In fact those "largest projects" are not done with MSTA, they're done with PDS a VERY heavy-handed vertical product that uses MSTA as a base. and, oh it's such a good tool that they are going to stop supporting it sometime in '07 in favor of their new "Smart Plant" product.

As I've said, propaganda is one thing that the Bentley boys do a lot better than the AutoDESK crowd, and you're proving my point. Thanks.
