Automate new drawing from template

Does anyone know a macro or lisp routine that I can use to create a new drawing from a specified template? I do not want this DWT to be associated with QNEW, rather, I'd like to create a separate button so it can be used when needed. I've tried my hand at the macro below, but it stalls out and waits for user input after the new command.

^C^Cfiledia;0;new;"W:/mypathhere/alternate.dwt";filedia;1;

Call a script file with your macro, nothing else, your
script file should contain everything in your current macro.
