AutoCAD LT Class @ AU

Hi everybody,

I taught a class on AutoCAD LT at the last AU, and while it went well, I'd
like to improve it for next year.

It can be hard to pick key topics for such a generic program, so I thought
I'd ask:

If you were taking a class on LT at AU, what would you like to learn about?
(Features, programming, standards, etc.)

Thanks for any and all opinions!

Sorry, I missed that class... but, in the interest of those who have a mixed user base, some full and some LT's; How about answering the #1 question that I get from my LT Users:

How come I can't do that? (Usually when I show them a lsp or arx routine that would save them hours)

If you are teaching a programming class for LT, I'd LOVE to see that 🙂

Tell them they can afford the extra time it takes since they saved so
much on the initial software purchase....

Kate,

Scripts can go a long way and should work fully in LT.

Also, I personally enjoy showing clients how much 3D modeling you can do in
LT by simply bringing strategically designed blocks and 3d elements from
full AutoCAD. For example, you can bring in blocks or 3d primitives and then
convert to block so you can have resizable boxes, spheres, etc. via the
properties palette x, y and z scale factors. And with a 3D face, although
tediously, the sky is the limit. Simply bring one in from ACAD classic and
edit, copy, mirror, etc. using COPY and grip editing.

Regards from Los Angeles,

Emmanuel
