You are having trouble communicating with the
server. This normally happens when there are firewall issues. Perhaps your file
has grown large enough that the time to upload it exceeds the timeout limit of
your corporate firewall. What happens if you upload small files? Do they work
every time?

All files, large and small all get the same error message. I have done large files in the past without problems but now nothing goes thru. Would you have any othere suggestions.

What happens if you use the WebDAV interface? In
Internet Explorer, use the file open menu item, remembering to click open as web
page, and open
href="https://webfolders.buzzsaw.com/sitename">https://webfolders.buzzsaw.com/sitename

where sitename is your Buzzsaw site name.

The most common cause of the "Server Threw and Exception" error is having an old version of Volo View Express installed. Try uninstalling your version of Volo View Express and installling version 2.01 available here:

Actually, the source of this error message is most
likely the Xref scanner, which helps to find Xrefs in an uploaded DWG
file.  The text is very misleading, apparently indicating there's something
wrong with the Buzzsaw server.  In fact, it's a problem with the *client*
side activity - in this case the Xref scanner that's part of the local Buzzsaw
client program.  It's tough for us to control that message since it comes
from the COM coordination service that's part of the OS.  (Technically
speaking, the Xref scanner is a COM *server* even though it runs on the client
side.)

Very confusing I know, but I wanted to clarify that
this particular error does not at all signify a problem with connectivity,
firewalls, or the Buzzsaw service.  It's likely a conflict between
different AutoCAD components upon which the local Buzzsaw client relies.
The most frequent culprit is a mismatched version of VoloView.
