Recently, an update to the Buzzsaw Windows client and to the Buzzsaw SaaS service allows Buzzsaw users to access their secure Buzzsaw data using their Autodesk ID in addition to their Buzzsaw ID/password. For more details on how this feature works, please refer to the new Help topic on Buzzsaw entitled “Pairing Buzzsaw Accounts With Autodesk ID”.
In order for administrators to fully manage this new capability, they should update their Windows client to the latest version.
It is important to keep in mind that this feature is entirely optional: if your Buzzsaw site and project Administrators do nothing, there will be no change in how users can access your site. Some key points:
MAKING SURE YOU HAVE THE UPDATED VERSION OF BUZZSAW WINDOWS CLIENT:
The actual update for the Windows client was pushed live a couple of weekends ago so there's a chance you already have the update. To check the version of the Windows client, look EITHER in the Help/About dialog OR the Site Administration General tab. As of June 2014, the current version is 2013.1.33.3477.
If you need an upgrade, you can go to the Site Administration/General tab, OR use the URL https://projectpoint.buzzsaw.com/!/download/Buzzsaw-EN.exe for the English versiion. Other language versions can be found at the following…
We think these new options will be convenient for your users who want to use Autodesk Buzzsaw in association with other Autodesk cloud solutions such as Autodesk 360 and BIM 360, which all use Autodesk ID.

The Autodesk Buzzsaw team
